The simplest is the most elegant.
I started trading foreign exchange in November 2016 and officially entered the trading field in 2018. I focus on gold, crude oil, GBP/USD, GBP/JPY, and other varieties. Crossing over ten years, never forget the original intention.
In fact, before I started trading, I didn't even know I would be trading.
I always believe that nothing remains the same. What you did before and what you will do in the future are not necessarily related. Life is inherently uncertain, and what I need to do is to find my own place in this uncertainty. This process is just a multiple-choice question.
I chose to trade because I simply thought this business could be done and it was simpler than anything I had done before. Buy and sell, and the money is in hand. It can make a lot of money in the short term, without time and location restrictions, much better than working hard. It allows me to have more time to do what I like, so I decided to do it resolutely.
But what I didn't expect is that trading is a narrow path, or rather, investment is a narrow path, and the process is not easy to describe. But I never regret my choice. After persisting in doing this, I found that I have grown a lot. Sometimes I even think, why didn't I encounter trading earlier. Haha, digressed, I will slowly tell the story about trading in the future.
Website, Blog#
Since 2013, I have been writing on public accounts. Later, for unknown reasons, the earliest public account was banned by Tencent. Many records disappeared as a result. Since then, I realized the importance of data.
Even earlier, before Google was blocked in mainland China, I registered a blog on BlogSpot to record life. My earliest blog post was on July 13, 2008.
Later, due to the blocking of Google in mainland China, the BlogSpot blog was no longer updated. I have also bought domain names, hosting, and set up independent blogs, but I neglected to operate them and gave up.
Now I have picked up the independent blog again. For me, a blog is a record of life, a learning of knowledge, and a reflection on life.
Domain, Hosting, Blog Setup, and Theme#
The domain name registered a few years ago was released and registered again due to various reasons.
The domain name of this website buysellok.org was newly registered this year (2024). The domain name was originally registered on Hostinger, and it was given one year of free use when buying hosting. It is planned to transfer to Cloudflare for hosting in the future.
The hosting is provided by Hostinger (currently other websites are also hosted here). On May 30, 2024, I bought a 4-year package for a one-time payment of 1145.22 yuan (156.71 US dollars), and it will be renewed every 4 years in the future. 200GB of space, unlimited traffic, and the price feels a bit expensive. Currently looking for a cheaper hosting provider.
In July 2024, I accidentally learned about Serve00, a free hosting service in the Netherlands, which provides 3GB of free space for a period of 10 years. To ensure the security of the content, this site will establish a clone site on Serve00 to synchronize backup the content. In addition, there are also synchronized backups on BlogSpot and Xlog.
